💰 Australia Awards scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders for development. Through study and research, recipients develop the skills and knowledge to drive change and help build enduring people-to-people links with Australia
 
𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬: All applications must be online. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.
  • Be a Vietnamese citizen residing in and applying for the scholarship from Vietnam
  • Have completed a formal ('chính quy') undergraduate degree
  • Commit to return to work in Vietnam for at least two years after you finish your course in Australia
  • Have at least 24 months’ relevant recent work experience in Vietnam, except for who are required to have at least 12 months' work experience. Evidence of work experience must be provided on application
  • Candidates must declare all previous study undertaken (including its status) irrespective of whether it is complete or incomplete or ongoing or undertaken within Vietnam or another country. Candidates who have commenced but not completed Master level study will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Have a valid IELTS Certificate or TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic equivalents. These certificates are valid if the test dates are on or after 1 January 2021.

Studies in other fields (except Master of Business Administration, Information Technology hardware and software, Medicine, Pharmacy, Communication / Media / Journalism) will be considered on the basis of merit.

  • Certified copy of original formal degree
  • Certified translation copy of formal degree (if the original is not in English)
  • Certified copy of original formal transcript
  • Certified translation copy of formal transcript (if the original is not in English) 
  • Certified copy of citizenship document (Passport/National ID)
  • Certified copy of original birth certificate
  • Certified translation copy of birth certificate
  • Certified copy of work contract(s) or an official recruitment decision for a government employee, that prove the required work experience
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) with passport photo stamped by current employer
  • Employer Reference Letter stamped by current employer
  • Academic Referee Report, as required:
    • One (1) academic referee report for all Masters by coursework applicants
    • Two (2) academic referee reports for Masters by research applicants
  • List of relevant publications for Masters by research applicants
  • English proficiency certificate (IELTS/TOEFL iBT/PTE Academic) with a valid test on or after 1 January 2021 for all applicants except provincial , district agency and
  • Summary research proposal for Masters by research applicants
  • Evidence of supervisor contact for Masters by research applicants
  • Certificates or Awards/Prizes at international and national levels or university graduation only (if available)
  • Certified evidence of disability for with a disability
  • Evidence of disadvantaged status for Disadvantaged Rural Applicant, if not available in above supporting documentation, e.g. high school transcript.
𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬?

  • Prepare the following documents for submission:

    • Reference Letters:
      • Often, when your academic reference letter is being written by colleagues or professors from overseas, they will request the letter remain confidential. In this case, request that they:
        • Scan and send the soft copy of the letter as an attachment to our email address [email protected] . In the email, state clearly your full name and your OASIS ID (AASxxxxxx).
        • In addition to this, request they send the original hard copy of the letter in a sealed, signed envelope to you. You should leave the letter sealed and submit this at your interview.
𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗕𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧
  • Meet requirement of relevant group of applicants
  • Submit a summary research proposal on application that includes methodology, timelines and a brief literature review (no template available)
  • Have reports from two academic referees using the
  • Provide a list of relevant publications
  • Show evidence of supervisor contact at application and should supply evidence of past research and highlight outcomes (e.g. copies of relevant emails and correspondence should be uploaded with the application)
  • Provide the name of a proposed supervisor in section 8 of the Application Form.
