Mr. Stephen Williams is an English department lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. He is an American scholar and medical expert. In order to give students the abilities and techniques they need to read academic papers successfully, Mr. Williams provided a wealth of extremely helpful information during the workshop.
Mr. Williams used his research and work experience to show the participants how different word roots contribute to an academic vocabulary. His experiences as a student in the pharmaceutical industry, a field that requires a high degree of knowledge and a substantial Latin vocabulary, are the source of the root words he provides. Apart from imparting knowledge on how to create new vocabulary by combining word roots, the instructor provides very useful examples of how academic vocabulary can be used to improve the caliber of scientific research articles.
With the intention of fostering a positive English learning community at UEH, UEH English Zone was established by arranging talks, board games, language workshops, and acoustic shows in English on a weekly and monthly basis.
