Following the success of the 31st Annual Asian Finance Conference, the International Conference on Business and Finance 2019 (ICBF) continued to act as a bridge for exchanges, exchanges, and cooperation with Vietnamese researchers, graduate students, lecturers, and enterprises with researchers and experts around the world. On the morning of August 23, 2019, the International Conference on Business and Finance 2019 opened at Campus 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).

Attending the Conference, on the guest side, there was Dr. Johnny Noe E. Ravalo - Managing Director, Supervision & Examination Sector of Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas; Prof. Tran Tho Dat - Chancellor of National Economics University; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Péter Szilágyi - Head of MS in Finance Program, CEU Innovations Lab Head of FinTech Section; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Marta Gasparin - Deputy Director of the Ph.D. Program - University of Leicester; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Martin Quinn - Regional Development and Public Policy - University of Leicester. On the side of UEH, there was Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - President; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice-President; Especially, this seminar brought together more than 150 leading national and international experts, along with many international researchers, lecturers, and researchers. The conference focused on research in all areas related to Business and Finance.
The International Conference on Business and Finance 2019 attracted over 192 papers submitted. Through the editorial and the review panel, 114 articles were accepted, 77 were presented at the workshop, and 37 were included in the yearbook list. The workshop was organized in 3 parallel sessions and 1 plenary session. This conference was not only large-scale but also evaluated by the research community of high professional quality, confirming UEH's great stride in internationalization strategy.

Speaking at the Conference opening, Prof.Dr Nguyen Dong Phong - President of UEH, emphasized the importance of business and finance in the context of the digital era. As the organizer of the seminar, the president desired to provide the best, dynamic, and professional environment to bridge the exchange and cooperation between Vietnamese researchers and businesses and experts in the world on opportunities, challenges, and strategies of the financial and banking system, meeting the innovation requirements of the industrial science revolution 4.0. Besides the introductory report, the workshop's presentations focused on many areas:
• Hot issues of financial management, financial markets in the digital context, as well as specific issues of top concern in Vietnam such as Cryptocurrency, online payment, the safety of online payment, asset valuation, blockchain, financial behavior, etc.
• Issues in marketing, international trade, business administration, customer behavior, etc.
