UEH Doctoral and Master Graduation Ceremony in 2022

On the morning of November 27, 2022, at Hall A.116, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City University (UEH) solemnly held a Doctoral and Master Graduation Ceremony in 2022, honoring and awarding diplomas to 442 fresh graduates who have made excellent achievements in the process of study, research and international publications.

Attending the Graduation Ceremony, on the side of UEH leaders, there were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President; Board of Directors of the member college of UEH; Leaders of schools with doctoral and master's programs; Professors, Associate Professors, Lecturers, students and new PhDs and new Masters.

Overview of the Graduation Ceremony

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH congratulated and appreciated the outstanding efforts in study, research and international publication of the new PhDs and Masters over the past time: “On behalf of the leadership of a Public University, I would like to congratulate the 16 new PhDs and 426 new Masters who have achieved excellent academic and research results. You have the right to be proud when you graduate from UEH - a brand that has been confirmed and positioned as a prestigious high-quality university in Vietnam in terms of training and research, which is gradually integrating strongly into modern education in the world. Graduating from UEH, graduates can work in domestic, regional and international markets, in fact many alumni have done this.”

In addition, the President also suggested future development orientations for the new masters and doctors. He especially emphasized that in the era of globalization, under the increasingly profound impact of the 4.0 revolution on the economy - society, it is necessary to improve the application of technology and innovation to do well in the profession. New PhDs and Masters need to improve their knowledge and gradually expand their research scope, equip them with interdisciplinary knowledge in economic sciences, and new technologies applied in their profession, and improve their English skills to expand research and academic exchange. UEH hopes that the new masters and doctors will continue to connect with the school to contribute to professional development. New Masters can continue to study doctoral programs in English and Vietnamese. The new doctors are aspired to become visiting lecturers of the university, participating in teaching, research and professional councils of the university. Only through the lifelong learning path can we meet the increasingly high demands of society, and in this way, the scope of activities and development thinking can reach out to the world. From the knowledge provided by the school and the ability to self-study, the new masters and doctors will become good experts, lecturers, and leaders who can work in the country and the world. He also hopes that the new masters and doctors will become members of the UEH Alumni network with nearly 250,000 alumni of all levels of UEH who have graduated since the establishment of the university to promote a good traditional system sharing, cooperating and supporting for mutual development. At the same time, the Professor also sincerely thanked the agencies and families of the new Masters and doctors for their support and encouragement to help them achieve today's glory.

At the ceremony, UEH officially awarded 16 PhD degrees (6 PhDs in Accounting, 4 PhDs in Business Administration, 3 PhDs in Banking, 2 PhDs in Commercial Business, 1 PhD in Statistics), in there, there is 1 PhD student defending the thesis in English with foreign experts and professors participating in the Council; Fellows have published 9 articles in prestigious international journals and conferences. And awarded 426 Master's degrees (126 MSc Business Administration, 59 MSc Economic Statistics, 56 MSc Finance, 52 MSc Banking, 27 MSc International Business, 24 MSc Accounting, 24 MSc Economic Law, 19 MSc Public Management, 11 MSc Commercial Business, 10 MSc Economics and Health Administration, 9 MSc Public Finance, 6 MSc Political Economy, 2 MSc. Information and Communication Design Technology, 1 MSc. Economic Management).

The ceremony was solemn and successful. This was also an event marking outstanding achievements in the graduate training of UEH, demonstrating the efforts of the whole university with its dedication to training high-quality human resources for the country, which is the result of the dedication of the teachers and the efforts of all students to study and research. With the knowledge accumulated during the past study, UEH wishes the new doctors and Masters to achieve much success in their careers and lives.
