In order to develop comprehensively knowledge and skills for students, helping them to adapt early to their work and practical working environment, this morning, January 22, 2021, at Campus B (279 Nguyen Tri Phuong), the School of of International Business - Marketing University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Simmy Seafood Company Limited held a signing ceremony on cooperation in many different aspects.

In the development strategy of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the development strategy of the School of International Business - Marketing, training high-quality human resources to become future leaders is one of the most important goals. To implement practical activities, develop knowledge and experience for students, the School of International Business - Marketing signed a cooperation agreement with Simmy Seafood Company Limited.

Attending the signing ceremony, from Simmy Seafood Company Limited, there was Mr. Chen Shin Ming - President of the Company, Mr. Kingsman Zhang - Managing Director; from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, there was Ms. Judy Chang - Vice Director of the office; From the Faculty of International Business - Marketing, there was Assoc. Dr. Bui Thanh Trang - Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thu - Deputy Dean, Dr. Hoang Cuu Long - Vice Dean, lecturers of the Faculty of International Business - Marketing and final year students majoring in Marketing, International Business, Foreign Trade...

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Dr. Bui Thanh Trang - Dean of Department of International Business - Marketing emphasized: “With the goal of training the theory associated with the practice, the International Business - Marketing students must not only master the theory but also be agile, ready to apply their knowledge into practice. The cooperation with Simmy Seafood Co., Ltd. will assist the Faculty in the strategy of training students to fully develop both knowledge and skills, quickly adapt  and confidently work in the enterprise right after graduation."

Mr. Chen Shin Ming - Chairman of Simmy Seafood Co., Ltd. expressed his pleasure and wished to have long-term cooperation with UEH, specifically the School of International Business - Marketing. He shared: “Vietnam is a country with favorable conditions to develop aquaculture and seafood export, with enormous potential. As a company established in 2000, Simmy Company has its position and foothold in the international seafood market, so in the market expansion strategy, the company hopes to cooperate with such a prestigious training unit as the UEH Faculty of International Business - Marketing to seek high-quality talent, and to carry out collaborative research activities, case development, scholarships to Faculty students."

At the meeting, the two units exchanged and signed the contents on developing career opportunities for students studying in the Department of International Marketing - Marketing, including internships, business semester, part-time and full-time; exchanging about research activities and supporting cooperation in building teaching situations; supporting and awarding scholarships for excellent students.

At the end of the signing ceremony, representatives of Simmy Seafood Company answered questions of students and lecturers about the opportunity to work at the company and other research cooperation opportunities. Immediately after the signing ceremony was the Recruitment Week event jointly organized by the School of International Business - Marketing and Simmy Company, which was also the opening activity in 2021 to implement the strategy "Learning together with Practice" of teachers and students of Faculty of International Business - Marketing.
