In the context of the world booming the 4th industrial revolution, how universities determine the development direction should adapt to innovation is a challenging question.
In order to answer questions about the characteristics of an innovative university ecosystem in the context of industrial revolution 4.0; the advantages and difficulties of entrepreneurship and innovation activities in universities; the model of university-oriented innovation; and the focus of universities in Vietnam on to develop and adapt well to Industry 4.0, etc. On the morning of April 16, 2019, at Campus 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) collaborated with the University of Leicester - UK to organize the workshop "How to improve university-industry interaction in innovation".

Attending the Conference, on the side of the University of Leicester - UK, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Steve Conway - Innovation Lecturer of School of Business, University of Leicester; Dr. Gasparin, Dr. Quinn, and Dr. Green - lecturer on Innovation; On the UEH side was Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - President, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice-President; along with scientists and managers in the area also attended, shared, and exchanged at the workshop.

Opening the conference, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong emphasized the importance of innovation in the current context and the promotion of research and training for innovation in universities. The President also thanked the lecturers of Leicester University for participating and exchanging content about innovation at UEH.

In the seminar, Dr. Steve Conway - Lecturer at the University of Leicester shared on the issues of innovation at Leicester University, experience in finding ideas for innovation, forming creative organizations, and giving a number of creative innovation stories in different fields as well as factors that measure the success of an innovation project.

Dr. Gasparin and Dr. Quinn, in very detail, presented the creative ecosystem, the secrets to the success of innovation at the University of Leicester; the solutions for innovation and change in the innovation ecosystem itself to keep pace with technology development, and the experience in equipping facilities and techniques for start-up innovation at the University of Leicester.
