On the morning of March 6th, 2024, at Campus B - University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), the International Exchange Workshop on ArtTech was successfully organized by UEH School of Tourism, UEH College of Business and the School of Media and Design, UEH College of Technology and Design in collaboration with Republic Polytechnic Singapore. The workshop aimed to offer students from both universities a valuable opportunity to explore the limitless potential of the innovative combination of art and technology.

The workshop was attended by Ms. Cinthie Loy and Ms. Conny Soh - Lecturers from Republic Polytechnic Singapore, Lecturers from from School of Media and Design (UEH - CTD) and School of Tourism (UEH - COB), and over 50 students from Vietnam and Singapore.

The workshop was a great opportunity for students to learn, connect, and make new friends through the challenge of decorating traditional conical hats with details reflecting the cultural identities of Vietnam and Singapore, and finding interesting angles in the campus to create TikTok videos promoting their products within 45 minutes. The mini-project presentations by the groups were then commented on by lecturers from School of Media and Design (UEH - CTD), School of Tourism (UEH - COB) and the partner university to provide further improvement ideas, and small gifts were presented to the best performing group.

In addition, at the workshop, Dr. Dong-su Yi - Vice Dean of the School of Media and Design, (UEH - CTD), former Global Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather, shared valuable knowledge and experience on the topic of ArtTech, providing the workshop with insightful lessons in the hope that students can unleash their inner artist while integrating into the digital world.
