Opening Ceremony of Training Program for Level-3 Managers - HCMC Power Corporation 2022

On the morning of April 04th, 2022, at Auditorium B1.302, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) organized the Opening Ceremony of “Training Program for Level-3 Managers - HCMC Power Corporation 2022” for 138 learners currently working at HCMC Power Corporation (EVNHCMC).

Attending the Opening Ceremony, in terms of UEH, were Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH, Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President, Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy, Head of the Department of Continuing Education and Heads of Departments/ functions and lecturers.

In terms of EVNHCMC, there were Mr. Tran Khiem Tuan - Deputy General Director of HCMC Power Corporation (attending via an online platform), Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha - Head of Board of Human Resources, Mr. Nguyen Huu Vinh - Vice Head of Board of Human Resources and the participation of 138 learners of the Training Program for Level-3 Managers 2022.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony

Delivering a speech to begin the course, Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH shared: “After 46 years of construction and development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has been affirming to be a leading reliable university in Vietnam, which provides society with high-quality human resources being able to integrate into international working environments. In addition to providing programs in different cycles from undergraduate to PhD, UEH has organized short-term training and fostering courses in the field of innovation and smart city management, digital economics, entrepreneurship, government management, advancing corporate quality and so on. With the strategy for developing to be a multidisciplinary higher education institution, since 2021, UEH has supplemented new training fields responding to the 4.0 era and current international integrating tendency. Performing the cooperation agreement between University of Economics HCMC (UEH) and HCMC Power Corporation (EVNHCM) in 2022, with the aim of supplying modern corporate managing skills and knowledge for level-3 managers of EVNHCMC, UEH invited lecturers specialized practically to teach them and prepared facilities serving the class, and apply technologies to organizing tasks and managing the class listed as using Apps, Dashboard, LMS UEH, and electronic learner ID cards. On behalf of UEH Board of Management, I do wish all learners to study well, absorb useful knowledge to apply to real assignments at your units”.

Mr. Tran Khiem Tuan - Deputy General Director of HCMC Power Corporation shared: “Fostering managers is an extremely important process in officials organizing tasks to gradually upgrade managerial and operational capacities for senior officials, conditioning officials to develop themself, advancing skills, knowledge, and implementing well-assigned tasks and missions in accordance with regulations. According to Decision 1636 in the 2021 - 2025 period in terms of issuing regulation training and developing the human resources of National Vietnam Electricity Group and the demands of HCMC Power Corporation, all officials of the corporation are required to pass an appropriate official-managing fostering course and satisfy all standards to be considered being appointed as officials of the corporation. For that reason, the corporation cooperates with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on holding a course training level-3 managers. I hope that after this course, the officials will earn more experience in human resources management and strategy implementation of the corporation in the upcoming time. On behalf of the Board of Management of the corporation, I honorably thank University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City for collaborating with us on organizing the course, I truly desire our work to obtain remarkable achievements in the near future”.

Mr. Tran Khiem Tuan - Deputy General Director of HCMC Power Corporation sharing via online format

Training Program for Level-3 Managers - HCMC Power Corporation 2022 set up targets to supplement modern corporate managerial skills for level-3 managers of EVNHCMC, in which 138 learners in the followings objectives: Director, Deputy Director, Accountant of level-3 units, Representatives of shares of the corporate in subsidiary and affiliated companies, Heads of Departments/ Functions at the corporate and officials nominated for the above titles.

The course includes 06 topics: Human Resources (including Corporate Cultures); Skills for managing and implementing strategies (including Planning to develop the electricity market); Risk Management (including Controlling and obeying law knowledge); Communication Management, Skills and Press Information Provision; Corporate Finance Management. UEH is responsible for teaching theories and Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and EVNHCM are in charge of the practicality. The course is divided into 03 classes, the duration of the course is 12 days/ class via face-to-face format at UEH. Learners satisfying all requirements will be granted a certificate of completion by UEH and EVNHCMC.
