Mr. NGUYEN ANH DUC
UEH Accounting - Auditing student turned CEO of Saigon Co.op
When entering the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), I chose Accounting - Auditing. If now I had a chance to choose again a school to learn, a major to pursue, I would definitely opt for UEH and Accounting - Auditing.
Accounting - Auditing is a real job for me. During the time I worked at Saigon Co.op, I took part in executive work, operated retail activities in every angles, every aspects, applying the knowledge learnt from UEH Accounting - Auditing, from general knowledge to economic knowledge. Talking about the working environment at Saigon Co.op, perhaps every of the majors of UEH has come in handy, especially in the context of Vietnam, where there is yet to have a major specializing in training for the retail sector.

Ms. NGUYEN THI MAI
From UEH Foreign Trade to Vice Director of Marketing of Homecare products at Unilever Vietnam company
Being an alumnus of Foreign Trade Course 19, did I choose the profession related to foreign trade? When choosing a career, I decided based on my grades, which means I would prefer a job that correlates with my grades. However, after learning at UEH, my teachers gave me knowledge relating to my major and many other fields. Therefore, when learning Marketing, I felt really excited and decided it to be the field I would pursue in the future. Even my graduation thesis was about Marketing.
At UEH, teachers have already equipped us with basic knowledge. Based on that background, along with a right method, we can absorb knowledge much more easily, thereby digging deeper and developing further in our career paths. There are some subjects and knowledge that seemed to be unrelated. Still, it turns out that after about more than 20 years, when you climb higher on your career ladder, take responsibility for many more fields, the basic and background knowledge will become really useful in our work.
In the practical working environment, knowledge will change every single day, even every hour. The knowledge, in reality, will be much more varied than what we have been taught at school, and it only takes a few months or a year to become much different. Therefore, we have to update our knowledge regularly.

Mr. NGUYEN TUAN QUYNH
UEH Business Administration undergrad to the Founder of Saigon Book
After graduating from UEH, I worked at Saigon Petro Co., Ltd., from an import-export staff of the Sales Department, to a finance specialist, Assistant General Director and then in charge of sales at Saigon Petro. I left Saigon Petro to work at Saigon Gas Company as a member of the Board of Directors, shareholder and Deputy General Director. Next, I was the Deputy General Director in charge of Marketing, Human Resources and Investment at Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ). Then I became the Chairman of the Board of Directors - CEO of Saigon Fuel Company (SFC), then CEO Alpha Books. Finally, he decided to start a business and found Saigon Books.
During my career, after my graduation from UEH, I worked for state-owned enterprises, many joint-stock companies, and then started my own business. I realized that, it is time I learnt at UEH that equips me with a pivotal knowledge basis, which I have been applying throughout my career.

Mr. DONG TRAN QUOC BAO
From UEH Mathematics - Statistics to a Stockbroking Director at a leading Vietnamese company
After graduation, just like many other students, I did not know what to do. However, I got a chance to work in the securities industry and worked in the securities sector at Vietcombank for 2 years, then I moved to the securities sector of SSI for 5 years, started from being a stockbroker, then became the Head of Stockbroking Department and finally the Director of the transaction office. I am currently the Stockbroking Director of Mirae Asset Securities, the No. 5 securities company in Vietnam and No. 1 in Korea.
After 7 years of working, I summarized that the subjects taught  at UEH such as financial math, financial modeling, corporate finance, accounting are the subjects that helped me have a background in finance, along with the spirit of inquisition, a desire to learn, a clear orientation, a mindset of always learning new things, which helped me to advance faster at work.

Ms. LE YEN QUYNH
From UEH School of Banking to a Portfolio Manager
After graduation, I worked at Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) - one of the largest joint-stock commercial banks in Vietnam. Since the time I went to school and participated in extracurricular activities, competitions of the faculty and school, I had the opportunity to interact with many employers, including ACB. That was the opportunity to help me, right after my graduation from school, became an official employee of this bank. I then transferred to Dragon Capital, the largest fund management company in Vietnam, as a fund manager.
My passion for investment emerged from my student days when I joined the Securities Club of the School of Banking. Although at that time, stocks were very new, the School pioneered the activities of securities clubs and helped students have very practical first contact with the industry. In addition to the knowledge learned from school, the relationships with friends, teachers, and previous students are valuable relationships when working because they are colleagues who share with you about the business opportunities, the opportunities to work later. Even my teachers are constantly advising me, or I myself also supports them when I have some experience in my career. Therefore, I am very respectful and grateful to the people who led me during my time as a student at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. LE THANH HOAI
UEH School of Management student to CEO of Supership company
Graduated in 2015, with the knowledge learnt from teachers of UEH School of Management, I was confident to start my own project named Supership delivery company, and from there on I built my own career. Now, Supership has more than 250 post offices nationwide and creates thousands of job opportunities for society.
I myself feel lucky to have learnt UEH School of Management, where I was taught lots of useful knowledge from business, marketing, operating to financial accounting. This knowledge made me more confident during the time I operated and managed my business. After graduation from UEH, I was pretty confused about whether I should start up my own business or go to work to gain more experience, and I decided to start up from a small company and then developed gradually. During the process, I also had many difficulties, but fortunately, the teachers gave me advice, comments and encouragements, which helped me overcome my obstacles on my start-up journey.
